XVIII - XX SECOLO

Questa villa, incastonata sul fianco della collina, fra il Castello scaligero e l’area urbana, sorge in una delle zone più antiche di Valeggio.

 

Le sue fondamenta penetrano in un sedimento storico che, senza soluzione di continuità, dall’alto medioevo arriva ai nostri giorni.

 

Documentata fin dal XVIII sec., ampliata nella seconda metà del XIX sec. e ammodernata all’inizio del Novecento, è stata di proprietà del benefattore Giuseppe Zamboni (1876-1932); il quale lasciò disposizioni testamentarie affinché i suoi beni fossero usati dall’Amministrazione comunale di Valeggio per aiutare i concittadini anziani, gli indigenti, i bambini e le madri bisognose di assistenza.

 

In questa Villa fu realizzato, negli anni Settanta del secolo scorso, l’Asilo comunale, ora spostato in una più moderna struttura.

 

 

Una lapide posta nel giardino ricorda:

 

«A Giuseppe Zamboni che con previdente generosità tende e tenderà in perpetuo la mano benefattrice ai figli e alle madri dell’amata Valeggio, il Comune realizzando il suo voto ne affida il culto della memoria alle famiglie riconoscenti. Valeggio s.M. 1.9.1973».

 

 

Nei pressi della villa, in un contesto urbano chiamato la Corte Bassa, è stata aperta la Casa Albergo per accogliere persone bisognose.

 

Anche qui una lapide commemora il benefattore:

 

«Valeggio sul Mincio perpetua riconoscente il nome di Giuseppe Zamboni fulgido esempio di amore per la sua terra. Per sua volontà e generosità questa Corte Bassa è divenuta casa di sereno riposo, albergo lieto per gli anziani bisognosi della nostra comunità. Mese di ottobre 1982».

 

Un’altra istituzione beneficiata della sua generosità fu l’Ospedale Civile di Valeggio, che poté rimodernare alcuni reparti e mantenere la sua funzionalità, fino all’avvento della riforma sanitaria nazionale (1974).

 

Anche il terreno su cui sorge l’attuale struttura polifunzionale sanitaria valeggiana è stato da lui donato.

 

Infine, Zamboni volle che la villa fosse dedicata alla madre, signora Giuseppina Gandini Zamboni.

This Villa, set on the hillside, between the Scaligeri Castle and the urban area, rises in one of the most ancient and suggestive areas of Valeggio.

 

Its foundations penetrate into a historical sediment that, without interruption, from the early Middle Ages reaches our days.

 

Documented since the 18th century, remodeled and enlarged in the second half of the 19th century, was modernized in the early 20th century, it was owned by the wealthy benefactor Giuseppe Zamboni (1876-1932), who left precise testamentary dispositions to use his properties and its substantial substances by the municipal administration of Valeggio to help fellow citizens, especially the elderly, the needy, children and mothers in need of assistance.

 

His wishes also included the foundation of a marine colony and a mountain to benefit the children of Valeggio, especially the orphans, but this wish was not fulfilled. In this Villa the town’s kindergarten was built in the seventies of the last century, now moved to a more modern and functional structure.

 

A plaque in the garden reminds him:

 

«To Giuseppe Zamboni who with provident generosity tends and will tend in perpetuity the benefactor's hand to the children and mothers of his beloved Valeggio, the Municipality realizing his vote entrusts the cult of memory to grateful families. Valeggio s.M. 01.09.1973».

 

Near the villa, in an urban context called the Lower Court, a center called Casa Albergo was built after a complete renovation to accommodate the elderly and people in need.

 

Here also a plaque commemorates the benefactor:

 

«Valeggio sul Mincio gratefully recognizes the name of Giuseppe Zamboni shining example of love for his land. By his will and generosity, this Lower Court has become the home of peaceful rest, a happy hotel for the needy elderly of our community. Month of October 1982».

 

Another institution benefiting from its generosity was the Civil Hospital of Valeggio, which was able to modernize some departments and maintain its functionality by self-financing itself until the advent of national health reform (1974).

 

He also donated the land on which the current Valeggio health facility is located.

 

Finally, Giuseppe Zamboni wanted the Villa to be dedicated to his mother, Mrs. Giuseppina Gandini Zamboni.

Architektonische Route

Diese an den Seiten des Hügels zwischen dem Scaligerkastell und dem Stadtbereich liegende Villa steht auf einer der ältesten Zonen von Valeggio.

 

Seine Fundamente stehen auf einem historischen Sediment, das ohne Unterbrechung vom Hochmittelalter bis zur Neuzeit reicht. Ihr Bestehen ist seit dem 18. Jhr. belegt. Sie wurde in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jhr. erweitert und am Beginn des 20. Jhr. erneuert.

 

Ihr Eigentümer, der Gönner Giuseppe Zamboni (1976-1932), legte testamentarisch fest, dass die darin enthaltenen Güter von der Gemeindeverwaltung Valeggio benutzt werden können, um Kinder und alte, notleidende und hilfebedürftige Mütter der Gemeinde zu unterstützen.

 

In dieser Villa war in den 70iger Jahren des vergangenen Jahrhunderts der kommunale Kindergarten untergebracht, der nun in eine modernere Struktur verlegt wurde.

 

Eine Tafel im Garten erinnert:

 

„An Giuseppe Zamboni, der mit vorsorglicher Großzügigkeit seine gönnerische Hand den Kindern und Müttern des geliebten Valeggio reicht. Zur Erfüllung seines Gelübdes wird sie von der Gemeinde den dankbaren Familien anvertraut. Valeggio s.M. 1.9.1973”.

 

In der Nähe der Villa wurde in einem Teil der Stadt namens Corte Bassa das „Casa Albergo“ für Bedürftige eröffnet. Auch hier erinnert eine Tafel an den Gönner: „Valeggio sul Mincio ist Giuseppe Zamboni ewig für sein leuchtendes Beispiel der Liebe für sein Gebiet dankbar. Auf seinem Wunsch und wegen seiner Großzügigkeit wurde dieser Stadtteil Corte Bassa zum ruhigen Altersheim, zur freudigen Unterkunft für die bedürftigen Greise unserer Gemeinde. Oktober 1982”.

 

Eine weitere Institution, die von seiner Großzügigkeit begünstigt wurde, war das Zivilkrankenhaus von Valeggio, das einige Abteilungen erneuern und seinen Betrieb bis zur nationalen Gesundheitsreform (1974) aufrechterhalten konnte. Auch das Gebiet, auf dem die aktuelle polyfunktionelle Gesundheitseinrichtung von Valeggio steht, war eines seiner Geschenke.

 

Außerdem wünschte Zamboni, dass die Villa seiner Mutter, Frau Giuseppina Gandini Zamboni, gewidmet werden sollte.
